The Royals have faltered over the past couple of games, drawing 0-0 at home to Southampton and falling to a 1-0 defeat away at Sholing. In the three games prior to that, they recorded wins over Beaconsfield Town (4-1), Oxford City (4-1) and Larkspur Rovers (5-1). Tonight’s hosts made it to the third round of the competition after second-round opponents, Windsor & Eton, forfeited the tie.

Actonians have struggled as of late, with our 1-0 win away at MK Dons being the isolated bright spot in the last five. Aside from that, we’ve suffered defeats to Chatham Town (0-3), Luton Town (1-2), Sutton United (2-3) and Norwich City (0-3).
