Actonians will travel to Enfield Town this Sunday for the Capital Senior Women’s Cup semi-final.
A 7-0 win over Haringey Borough back in October combined with a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace Development Team earlier this month means Actonians are one game away from reaching the final of the tournament they won back in 2019. Enfield have had a less comfortable journey to the semi-final stage in comparison, defeating Charlton Athletic’s U21 team 3-2 in the quarter final having beaten Ashford Town on penalties in Round 1.
Enfield also competed in the National League South East Division One before the season was stopped. They finished 3rd, one point above Actonians having played two games more. Enfield won three, drew two and lost one of their six games with one of these draws coming against Actonians when the two sides met back in October. A tight encounter ended 0-0 as Enfield became the only team not to lose to Actonians in the league this season.
The game once again is sadly behind closed doors due to COVID-19 restrictions. Kick off is at 2pm at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Enfield.
