Actonians Welcomes Football Tournament April 2023

April is ‘Football Welcomes’ Month. To mark it, Actonians LFC hosted a friendly five-aside tournament for over 50 asylum seekers and refugees. Nothing could dampen the spirits of the players who competed in the typical British April showers as local politicians, supporters and fans cheered on from the side-lines. We also shared an Iftar meal as our tournament coincided with Ramadan. The food was so kindly and generously donated by The Felix Project. Thanks to local school the International School of London for funding travel cards for every single player.
